Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is now accepting applications for a well-qualified Human Resources Intern. In this role, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of our domestic and overseas Human Resources operations. The HR Intern will experience a diverse range of tasks and learn about various aspects of HR, including benefits, onboarding, recruitment, and the general day-to-day functions of the department. The intern will also gain knowledge of and experience in best practices of international and domestic HR policies and procedures. 

This position is based in Burlington, Vermont.

What you'll do:

• Coordinate, schedule and provide support for special events (such as visits from 401(k) advisors, professional development workshops, annual on-site flu vaccine clinics, and more)
• Create and edit spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents for various departmental needs
• Respond to requests for employment verification, research and follow up as needed to provide information and determine eligibility
• Assist HR team in the administration of benefits
• Prepare and send onboarding paperwork to both domestic and international new hires, and review returned documents
• Assist with coordinating milestone recognition program
• Assist with other projects as needed

What we are looking for:

• Completed or near completion of a Bachelor’s degree required in related field
• Experience in a fast- paced office environment
• Focused interest in pursuing a career in the field of HR
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Must be comfortable working on concurrent projects and activities with poise and professionalism
• High level of proficiency with MS Office applications and databases
• U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is mandatory
