Tetra Tech International Development Careers Website Privacy Policy

Tetra Tech recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information and data gathered on this website. This Privacy Policy applies to careers.tetratechintdev.com and related communications and services (“Services”) but excluding services that state that they are offered under a different privacy policy. The policies below serve to inform individuals about their rights regarding this data and supplements the requirements of section 2.8 of the Tetra Tech Corporate Code of Conduct regarding Confidential and Proprietary information and Data Privacy (available upon request).

Tetra Tech, Inc. will be the controller of your personal data provided to, or collected by or for, or processed in connection with, our Services. As either an Anonymous Visitor or a Registered User of our Services, the collection, use and sharing of personal data is subject to this Privacy Policy and updates.

Tetra Tech’s policy is to hold personal data of its employees and consultants in strict confidence. Access to such information is granted on a need-to-know basis, and all staff have signed an acknowledgment of the company’s privacy policies and procedures. Specifics of how personal data will be collected and administered is described below.

  1. What data do we collect?

    We collect personal data on this website. This data is collected for the consideration of employment.
    1. Data you provide to us:
      1. Registration
        To create an account, you will need to provide your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
      2. Profile
        You have choices about the information on your profile, such as your education, work experience, and skills. You don’t have to provide additional information on your profile; however, your profile information helps you to get more from our Services, including helping our recruiters find you.
      3. Uploading
        We collect personal data from you when you provide, post or upload it to our Services, such as when you fill out a form or submit a CV/resume.
      4. Sensitive Personal Data
        Sensitive Personal Data may include, but is not limited to, racial or ethnic background, physical or mental health information, religious beliefs, genetic or biometric data, and sexual orientation. Please do not upload or include Sensitive Personal Data in your profile, including your CV or other documents.
      5. Application
        When you apply for a domestic (U.S.-based) position, we are legally required to ask you to identify your race, ethnicity, gender, veterans and disability statuses. You are under no obligation to provide that information.
    2. Data we automatically collect:
      1. Service Use:
        We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use our Services, such as when you view or click on content, perform a search or apply for jobs. We use log-ins, cookies, device information and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to identify you and log your use of our services.
      2. Cookies:
        We, along with our marketing service providers, use automatic data collection tools, which may include web beacons, cookies, embedded web links, and other commonly used information-gathering tools to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movements around the site and gather demographic information about our user base. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis. We use Google Analytics to collect this data. For specific instructions on how to control the use of cookies, select the browser you use to access this site and follow the instructions to update or restrict the use of cookies at the browser level: Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Edge.       3. Your Device and Location:
        We receive data from your devices and networks, including location data. When you visit or leave our Services, we receive the URL of both the site you came from and the one you go to next. We also get information about your IP address, proxy server, operating system, web browser and add-ons, device identifier and features, and/or ISP or your mobile carrier. If you use our Services from a mobile device, that device may send us data about your location based on your phone settings.
  2. What do we with do with the data?
    How we use your personal data will depend on which Services you use, how you use those Services and the choices you make in your settings. In general, Tetra Tech may use your data for the following:
    1. Services
      Our Services allow you to explore careers and seek out, and be found for, career opportunities with Tetra Tech and our business partners. We use data you provide to us to authorize access to our Services and, provide you those Services.
    2. We use data we automatically collect to improve our Services and to evaluate partners with which we promote career opportunities.
    3. Specifically, we analyze the referring source of candidates we hire to more closely partner with those sites that may refer the best candidates for our opportunities. For this purpose, exclusively, we may connect data you provide during the application process with aggregate data automatically collected to trace back successful placements to their referring source. This process may also include the connection of unauthenticated (anonymous) data with authenticated (logged-in) data.
    4. We use your data if we think it’s necessary for security purposes or to investigate possible fraud or security violations.
  3. How long do we keep the data that we collect?
    1. We keep analytic metrics we collect automatically through Google Analytics for 26 months.
    2. We keep most of your personal data you provide us for as long as your account is open. We retain your personal data while your account is in existence or as needed to provide you Services. This includes data you or others provided to us and data generated or inferred from your use of our Services. Even if you only use our Services when looking for a new job every few years, we will retain your information and keep your profile open until you decide to close your account. In some cases, we choose to retain certain information in a depersonalized or aggregated form.
  4. Where is the data stored?
    We process and store data inside of the United States.
  5. Whom do we share data with and why?
    1. Business partners that may provide you additional employment opportunities. Specifically, we have partnered with OnFrontiers to provide you additional employment opportunities. With your permission, we share your contact information, CV and professional skills with OnFrontiers. They may contact you directly with opportunities that may match your skills and experience. You may opt-out of this and any data sharing on your profile page.
  6. Security
    We use several layers of security to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your information. If we share any of your information with trusted third parties, we mandate they do the same.
  7. Your Rights
    1. Access & Control
      1. You may opt-out of having your information automatically collected by Google Analytics.
      2. You control whether or not we share your data with our business partners that may provide you additional employment opportunities.
    2. Newsletter Subscription:
      Independent of your account, you have the option of subscribing to our Careers Alert email newsletter by providing us your email address. You may opt-out of receiving this at any time. If you opt-out of receiving our email newsletter, we do maintain a record of your opt-out request with your email address.
    3. Removal
      At your request, we will completely remove all or some of your personal information from our systems. However, this may not prevent us from contacting you in the future via means beyond our systems (e.g., LinkedIn).
    4. No Contact
      If you prefer that we maintain your information but not contact you (e.g., you have retired), we will honor that request.
    5. Corrections
      You can edit some of your personal data through your account. You can also ask us to change, update or fix your data in certain cases, particularly if it’s inaccurate.
    6. Right to Access and/or Take Your Data
      You can ask us for a copy of your personal data.
