Tetra Tech GLS is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for global construction engineering positions on a federally funded international development projects.
Tetra Tech is seeking qualified construction engineering candidates with approximately 5-10 years of experience for anticipated short and long-term assignments in developing countries.
Responsibilities:
* Support implementation of multiple construction oversight programs;
* Coordinate the review of contractor submittals, requests for information, and payment vouchers;
* Solve problems related to construction and design;
* Provide training and capacity building to local staff and contractors;
* Manage and supervise staff including project engineers and team leaders including administrative approvals, hiring, and other activities;
* Review and draft project reports, deliverables, and other documents required for the client and program implementation.
* Perform inspection and monitoring of materials, methods, and equipment on an active construction site;
* Oversee the activities of local construction inspectors.
* Support coordination of operations and administration for field staff working in remote locations
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
* 5-10 years of experience;
* Experience with project management in developing countries, with a preference for candidates who have worked on federally funded international development programs;
* Experience managing local staff;
* Must have demonstrable communication, creative problem solving, and management skills;
* Must be willing to travel overseas for short and long term assignments
