Program Assistant for USAID Enhance Activity

The USAID-funded Enhance Activity in Thailand, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for Program Assistant. This position will be located in the main office in Bangkok.

 

Program Assistant (Bangkok) is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support of program mainstreaming and implementing citizen-centric local governance and civil society involvement in local governance, working with local government counterparts and non-governmental stakeholders in the USAID Enhance Activity’s target areas. The Program Assistant will support work towards all Activity objectives and performs a variety of coordination and logistical services in support of the operations of the Activity, including assisting with information management within the team. The Program Assistant will report directly to the Government Liaison Specialist. This is anticipated to be a five-year assignment ending in September 2027.

 

Responsibilities:

*Support USAID Enhance implementation across its objectives (e.g., assist in developing scopes of work and work plans and other activities);

*Assist the Government Liaison Specialist and the Senior Program Manager in liaising and coordinating with government counterparts and non-governmental stakeholders to support the

*Support in coordination of the Technical Advisory Group and other meetings and events organized with government counterparts;

*Coordinate and provide administrative and logistical service support of program activities, including arranging training and workshops, convening meetings, identifying consultants, drafting and organizing invitations, data collection and other tasks as needed;

*Assist with preparation of reports (e.g., annual report, quarterly report, weekly report, etc.) and other correspondences on program implementation;

*Draft correspondences and provide note-taking at key meetings, data collection for reports, and other administrative support as needed to USAID Enhance activities;

*Ensure compliance of project operations with USAID, and Tetra Tech Home Office administrative policies and guidelines.

 

Qualifications:

*Degree in political science, public administration, social science or a related field

*1-3 years of experience in implementing local administration, citizen participation, or governance programming in Thailand

*Good understanding of the works and procedures of the Royal Thai Government and proven success in liaising with local administration structures, minority communities, and government bodies in Thailand

*Demonstrated ability to work in partnership particularly with government stakeholders to build relationship and maintain networks

*Experience in managing grants to non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academia, etc. is a plus

*Experience implementing USAID or other donor-funded projects in Thailand is a plus

*A working knowledge of data management using Microsoft Word and Excel software programmes 

*Fluency in Thai and English language skills (written & oral)
