Deputy Chief of Party – Female Empowerment/Mujeres Poderosas Activity

Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, VA is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) position on a USAID funded program Colombia.

 

Position Description/Summary: The purpose of the Female Empowerment/Mujeres Poderosas (FEMPOW) Activity is to empower women and girls by reducing GBV, positively transforming gender norms and attitudes, engaging the private sector to create economic opportunities for women, and supporting USAID programming in PDET municipalities.

 

Responsibilities:

Working under the direction of the Chief of Party and in collaboration with FEMPOW technical and operations staff, the Deputy Chief of Party will be directly responsible for the timely delivery of quality technical assistance, interventions, and deliverables to support project implementation.

 

Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in international development, development economics, women’s/gender studies, business administration, law, or relevant field. Significant additional work experience in lieu of a master’s degree will be considered;

* At least 7 years of professional experience with projects related to relevant activity themes. Direct experience working and managing programs in Colombia related to gender and women’s economic empowerment preferred, especially in PDET areas of Colombia;

* At least 3-5 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience;

* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with working relationships with women’s rights organizations, government officials, market actors, and community stakeholders;

* Fluent English and Spanish required;

* Colombian country nationals strongly encouraged to apply.
