Natural Resource Management Specialist, Tanzania Natural Resource Management activity (NRM)

Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, VA  is seeking to hire a qualified Natural Resource Management Specialist to provide technical and managerial oversight in the development and implementation of strategies to improve the conservation and management of biodiversity and natural resources in Tanzania, including wildlife and critical ecosystems, for an anticipated 5-year USAID-funded biodiversity conservation initiative. The purpose of the activity is to support and strengthen capacity in Tanzania for biodiversity conservation in a manner that i) increases private sector engagement in conservation and NRM; ii) builds the capacity of public sector and civil society; iii) improves the enabling environment; and iv) enhances knowledge management across sectors.   Activity interventions together will reduce threats to biodiversity in Tanzania while moving Tanzanian institutions further on their journey to self-reliance.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

*7+ years’ experience designing and implementing natural resource conservation and management activities in Tanzania including working with communities and the public sector to design and implement solutions.

*Master’s degree or equivalent, in a relevant discipline.

*Excellent communication skills in English.
