Controller

Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia (http://tetratechintdev.com), is accepting applications for a Controller to lead our Accounting and Finance team.

 

The Controller will primarily be responsible for the day to day activities such as planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial aspects of our operating unit. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, financial management, financial business support and analysis, strategic and operational planning and financial reporting and analysis

 

 

Some key responsibilities include:

* Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance, accounting, control and reporting functions in format and frequency required by Corporate

* Manage processes for planning, forecasting and reporting. 

Review and approve all general ledger entries including balance sheet and cash account reconciliations

* Complete monthly corporate reporting package including analysis of project performance, review of indirect costs and production of statement of indirect rates

* Prepare annual operating plan and mid-year forecast, consolidate monthly project forecasts and provide variance analysis including quarterly flux

* Coordinate annual incurred cost submission                                                                                    

* Manage and respond to internal and external financial audits

* Provide accurate, timely analysis of budgets, financial trends, forecasts and KPI’s for the executive team as well as Tetra Tech

* Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance as well as monitor and assess risk of ongoing projects

 

Qualifications:

* Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field

* Minimum of ten years of progressive professional experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or a similar discipline required

* High level proficiency in MS Excel, particularly budget development, budget forecasting and planning, and formula utilization;

* Exemplary collegiality, reliability, and follow through across teams and tasks

* Outstanding interpersonal and intercultural communication skills to establish and maintain effective contacts with key stakeholders

* Ability to develop work plans, meet deadlines and work under pressure on multiple concurrent projects

* Excellent analytical writing and organizational skills and advanced numerical skills required

* Demonstrated detail orientation and exceptionally high levels of organization

* Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and sometimes intense work environment

* Management skills requiring the ability to interface with technical and operational business functions, accounting and project planning and finance or other department staff

* Ability to inclusively lead multidisciplinary cross cultural teams with a record of effective delegation, communication and motivation

* CPA preferred

* Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
