Tetra Tech International Development Services headquartered in Arlington, VA, USA is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates to join the USAID-funded West Africa Municipal WASH (MuniWASH) Activity. The advertised position will be based in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. The purpose of MuniWASH is to strengthen the ability of municipal governments and urban water and sanitation service providers to improve, expand, and sustain equitable water and sanitation services to meet the needs of the urban poor and underserved populations.

The Enterprise Support and Business Performance Advisor will lead activities that result in increased financial sustainability and operational reliability of water and sanitation utilities/service providers. The main focus of this position will be on water service providers.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for tasks related to improving financial viability, business practices, customer care, and the enabling environment.

* Serves as a key point of contact between MuniWASH and target water and sanitation service providers related to business and operational performance.

* Implements tasks related to improved financial performance, business practices, and customer care of both water and sanitation service providers.

* Supports expansion of customer base for water, with a focus on the poor. Works with partners on interventions related to utility reform.

* Liaises with international/local STTA providing guidance on specific improvement business areas.

Qualifications:

*A Master’s Degree (BAC+5) in a related field preferred, a Bachelor’s Degree equivalent required. 

*5-10 years of relevant professional experience.

* Deep familiarity with investment mobilization, private sector engagement, and/or public-private partnerships.

*Fluency in written and spoken French is required; proficiency in English is preferred.

*Experience working in West Africa. Ivorian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
