Administrative Specialist - Clean Cities, Blue Ocean (CCBO)

Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, VA has an immediate opening for an Administrative Specialist for the Clean Cities Blue Ocean (CCBO) project. This position will be based in the Washington, D.C. area.

 

The CCBO activity is a five-year, $48 million initiative of USAID which will serve as USAID's flagship program to target ocean plastics directly at their source in cities and towns. The project works to prevent ocean plastic pollution by building capacity and commitment for Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling (3Rs) and solid waste management (SWM) in urban and peri-urban settings, particularly in riverine and coastal areas. CCBO works with multiple USAID missions on country-specific implementation of national and local activities, and with USAID/Washington on global-level activities.

 

The role of the CCBO Administrative Specialist will be to provide administrative support to the project staff. They will coordinate with the Admin and Finance Manager and the Tetra Tech business office on administrative and operational support tasks.

 

Essential Qualifications and Competencies:

* Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Business Management or a related field required;

* Minimum of 2 years of administrative and project coordination experience required;

* Very high level of proficiency in MS Office applications;

* Very high level of reliability and follow-through;

* Very strong intercultural, interpersonal, and communication skills;

* Demonstrable very strong organizational skills and high attention to detail;

* Must be comfortable in a fast paced and sometimes intense work environment;

* Must be an energetic and enthusiastic collaborative team player;

* U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is mandatory.
