Human Resources Coordinator

Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is now accepting applications for a well-qualified Human Resources Coordinator. In this role, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of our domestic and overseas Human Resources operations. The HR Coordinator will support the HR team in benefits administration, onboarding, recruitment, and the general day-to-day functions of the department. The coordinator will also gain knowledge of and experience in best practices of international and domestic HR policies and procedures.
This position is based in Burlington, Vermont and is a part-time, temporary role.
What you'll do:
- Coordinate, schedule and provide support for special events (such as visits from 401(k) advisors, professional development workshops, annual on-site flu vaccine clinics, and more)
- Create and edit spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents for various departmental needs
- Respond to requests for employment verification, research and follow up as needed to provide information and determine eligibility
- Assist HR team in the administration of benefits
- Prepare and send onboarding paperwork to both domestic and international new hires, and review returned documents
- Assist with coordinating milestone recognition program
- Assist with other projects as needed
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required in related field
- At least one year of experience working in a Human Resources or operations environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Must be comfortable working on concurrent projects and activities with poise and professionalism
- High level of proficiency with MS Office applications and databases
- U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is mandatory
