Tetra Tech International Development Services headquartered in Arlington, VA is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for potential Senior, Mid, and Junior-level Workforce Development Technical Specialist positions on upcoming USAID-funded global opportunities in East Africa, Europe, and Latin America.


Responsibilities:


Working in collaboration with other technical staff and consultants, Senior Technical Specialists will be responsible for:


*Providing leadership to specific program activities;

*The timely provision and delivery of quality technical deliverables, and technical expertise to support project implementation;

*Support program and activity design and implementation of activities to increase the employability and inclusion of targeted populations in the labor force.

 

Qualifications: 


Specific skills and experience we are looking for include:


*Labor market information and analysis.

*Value chain and market systems development.

*Private sector engagement to improve the quality of education and skills training.

*Youth and women’s entrepreneurship.

*Life skills development.

*Technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

*Occupational skill standards and curricula.

*Curriculum upgrading and faculty/teacher training.

*Career pathways and transition to work.

*Employment services and job placement support.

*Institutional Development and Policy Reforms.

*Demand-side workforce development policies and program.

*Cross-sectoral strategies for at-risk youth. 


We are seeking candidates with expertise in workforce development for women and youth, in both agricultural and non-agricultural sectors. Experience in East Africa, Europe, and Latin America would be highly desirable.
