Tetra Tech International Development Services is now hiring for an Operations Director for our Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Finance (WASH-FIN) project.
In this role you have the primary responsibility of ensuring the timely provision and delivery of all required compliance, operations, subcontract (international and local), administrative, finance and accounting support to facilitate the implementation of the WASH-FIN project.
This position is based in Rosslyn, Virginia.
Main Responsibilities:
* Direct the activities of the Operations team to ensure the efficient functioning of the Operations team, which both establishes and oversees the operations of seven WASH-FIN field offices in the following countries: Cambodia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nepal, the Philippines, Senegal, and South Africa, and a soon-to-be established office in Zambia.
* Directly supervise employees to ensure the quality of their work and provide expert advice as needed to troubleshoot operational challenges.
* Oversee the processes of country start-up and close-out, closely following checklists for these functions, and adapting them as necessary to specific country conditions.
* Coordinate with the Tetra Tech Home Office to ensure compliance with USAID rules and regulations as well as Tetra Tech policy and procedures.
* Assist the Chief of Party (COP) in the general management of the project office, as well as assist in the preparation of work plans, budgets, procurement plans, and other project deliverables.
Main Qualifications:
* Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a social or natural science, or a field related to one of the firm’s practice areas, Master’s degree preferred;
* At least 10 years of Operations management experience, with USAID experience strongly preferred;
* Experience directly supervising a team;
* Experience in contracts management, procurement processes, and managing complex budgets;
* Fluency in English (written and Oral). Fluency in another language of WASH-FIN portfolio countries would be beneficial, especially French.
