Tetra Tech International Development Services is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Senior Monitoring Engineer/Deputy Team Leader position on an Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded program in Nepal.
The overall objective of this program is to improve the quality of a large number of earthquake-damaged school facilities throughout Nepal.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with supervising pre-contractual activities, needs assessment, engineering design, and construction oversight activities for large number of school facilities throughout Nepal;
* Supervise contract management and procurement activities;
* Review contract documents, bills of quantities, cost estimates, construction drawings, specifications, etc.;
* Collaborate with local partners, stakeholders, and subcontractors;
* Prepare written documents and reports for submittal to client;
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related required;
* Master’s degree strongly preferred;
* Must have at least twelve (12) years of experience in design and construction supervision of small size public buildings;
* Fluent in the English language;
* Ability to live in and travel to project sites throughout Nepal.
