International Recruiter / Contract Staffing Specialist
Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, VT is accepting applications for a qualified International Recruiter / Contract Staffing Specialist to join our International Consulting Services (ICS) team. As an International Recruiter you will provide specialized high-level knowledge on best practices of international staffing policies and procedures at all stages of our business cycle. You will work within all our technical sectors to develop preliminary staffing structures, position descriptions, contact and pre-qualify quality candidates, and recommend the best candidates to the new business teams. As an ICS team member you will be at the heart of our strong reputation among consultants and staff for providing a personal touch to our outreach and recruitment efforts and in building relationships that last beyond particular proposals and projects. This position also includes the opportunity for periodic international travel for new business and taking on new assignments for 2-3 weeks away from the home office.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the staffing process for proposal development and project implementation by setting and reinforcing milestones to keep the staffing process on track;
• Leverage social media, networking strategies, and conduct market research to develop strategies for attracting the best available talent for worldwide initiatives;
• Contact high quality candidates and maintain communication to gauge interest and availability, and collect all required documentation;
• Conduct candidate interviews, reference checks, initiate background checks, perform compliance checks, and gap analyses of top candidates
• Coordinate a salary strategy with the proposal teams, verify candidates salary history, and conduct salary negotiations with top tier candidates;
• Draft personnel matrices and assist in editing of candidates’ CV and qualifications for client submittal.
Essential Qualifications and Competencies:
• BA degree in international development or a field related to one of the firm’s practices areas, MA degree is a plus;
• 2+ years of recruitment or staffing-related experience in operations, organizational development, management, market research, or similar area;
• International development interest and experience strongly preferred;
• Outstanding social media skills and strategies, especially in professional applications;
• Excellent oral and written intercultural communication skills;
• High level of proficiency in MS Office applications and database management;
• Must possess high level interpersonal skills and be an energetic and be a collaborative team player with a “can do” attitude;
• Must possess high level analytical skills and an eye for detail that is necessary to evaluate candidates critically;
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing information;
• Must be very well organized with high level ability to independently plan, prioritize, multi-task, take initiative and manage multiple deadlines;
• Must have high degree of reliability and follow through;
• Must be able to adapt to changes in a fast paced, dynamic, and sometimes intense work environment;
• Speaking and reading proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic is helpful but not required;
• * U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is an absolute requirement.
