Director - Water/Wastewater

Tetra Tech GLS, headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts (http:www.tetratechintdev.com/) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Director to manage and grow our water/wastewater engineering services in either Marlborough, Massachusetts or Arlington, Virginia.

 

This position supports Tetra Tech’s global services market, specifically relating to site development for facility and infrastructure projects worldwide. The selected candidate will experience a unique opportunity to be involved with projects located in various areas of the world working with a team of in-house experts across all disciplines. 

 

Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee the planning, design, and implementation of large-scale infrastructure rehabilitation and development projects focused on water distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, drinking water, and solid waste management in the US and internationally;

* Assist in identifying new opportunities and developing new business within a focus on water/wastewater and site design projects in the US and internationally;

* Assist with strategic planning and preparing capture plans;

* Collaborate with technical, marketing, and finance teams on complex technical proposals;

* Assist with and often lead project execution;

* Coordinate with subcontractor’s activities and review work products;

* Provide management support to field teams;

* Train, mentor, and supervise office staff;

* Achieve a high level of project technical and financial performance, and ensure high quality services and deliverables;

 

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related required;

* Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related preferred;

* Professional Engineering (PE) registration required;

* Twenty (20) plus years of experience on water/wastewater engineering and construction management projects;

* Experience with United States Government and/or donor-funded clients such as USAID preferred;

* A robust network of contacts related to your professional experience;

* Outstanding written and oral communications skills;

* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure on multiple concurrent projects;

* Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment;

* Must possess excellent people skills and be able to work in a large team environment;

* Ability and willingness to travel, including overseas.
