Democracy & Governance Associate (Remote)

Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for the position of Associate in the Democracy and Governance Sector. This is a mid-career position for technical experts and professionals on international development themes related to democracy, rights and governance. The Democracy and Governance Sector at Tetra Tech develops innovative solutions to the most complex challenges of our time, including fighting corruption, protecting human rights, promoting citizen engagement, and improving government accountability and inclusivity. The Democracy and Governance Sector implements global and country-specific projects in Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

 

Responsibilities:

* Act as project manager on DG Sector projects in Latin America, Asia, and elsewhere

* Support DG Sector new business development (proposal development, recruiting, technical writing assignments)

* Provide contractual and financial oversight and management of ongoing projects

* Research DG topics and write, present and speak on technical thought leadership initiatives

* Correspond with USAID on project and contract management matters

* Liaise with Project Management Team members at the Home Office and Field Office to ensure effective project outcomes

 

Qualifications:

* Master's or other advanced degree in international development or related field

* Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in international development or project management

* Technical proficiency in one or more democracy, rights and governance themes

* Experience with USAID-funded project management, monitoring and evaluation, and/or communications

* Excellent communications skills, in particular, in client relations

* Fluency in English, strong preference for additional language(s)

* Availability to travel 30-40% (safety and conditions permitting)

* Ability to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
