Knowledge Management Component Lead, USAID Jal Jangal Activity

Tetra Tech International Development is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Knowledge Management Component Lead on the upcoming USAID-funded Jal Jangal Activity in Nepal. This five-year activity will focus on improving the health of ecosystems and biological diversity, environmental and social safeguards, climate resilience and addressing environmental crime in Nepal. The Activity will work with the Government of Nepal (GON), community groups, civil society, and private sector actors, and will align with GON’s vision of “Conservation of biodiversity for sound and resilient ecosystems and national prosperity.”

The Knowledge Management Lead will provide strategic guidance and leadership to define and oversee the implementation of the knowledge management and learning (KML) strategy. Roles will include designing strategies to support knowledge management of activity-generated knowledge, supporting staff and grantees to design and implement robust learning approaches, and supporting stakeholder engagement and convening in support of knowledge management and learning. 

 

Qualifications: 

Bachelors and/or advanced degree in biodiversity, natural resource management, water resources management, climate change, education, communications, or related field required

* At least 7 years of professional experience planning, coordinating and driving capacity development efforts in natural resource management sector required

* Demonstrated capacity to initiate, coordinate, and facilitate learning among technical staff and stakeholders required

* Familiarity with a range of capacity-building strategies to foster research, analysis, learning and skills development 

* Strong writing skills required

* Experience working with communications and capacity building teams to scale up best practices required

* Experience in designing and facilitating learning events desired

* Professional fluency in English and Nepali required
