Technical Specialists - Survivor’s Access to the Protection from Domestic Violence Activity

Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for various potential technical specialist positions on a USAID-funded program in Jordan. The five-year USAID-funded Survivor’s Access to the Protection from Domestic Violence Activity will focus on improving access to quality protection, social, and litigation services for victims of domestic violence, and supporting systemic change in the policy implementation and protection framework.

 

The Activity will work with the Government of Jordan (GOJ), community groups, civil society, and private sector actors. 

Technical specialists will provide technical and management leadership and contributions to activities within their field of expertise to achieve project outcomes. These would be full-time positions based in Jordan for the full life of project (anticipated five years).

 

Tetra Tech seeks candidates with expertise in the following areas:

  • Gender based violence case management.
  • Capacity building, mentorship of civil society organizations in Jordan focused on supporting victims of domestic violence.
  • Considerable and substantive knowledge of key stakeholders of GOJ institutions, such as the Family Protection Department of the Public Security Directorate, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Justice.
  • Policy dialogue and reform, and multi-stakeholder coordination related to the overall protection framework for victims of domestic violence.
  • Proven strong conceptual, analytical skills, organizational development and advocacy skills.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant discipline is required;

* At least seven (7) years of experience in the respective field of technical expertise; preferably with experience with a major relevant NGO, GOJ entity, or working on large donor funded projects.

* Proven track record collaborating with a diverse array of stakeholders and fostering collaborative learning and adaptive management, and social inclusion with men, youth, indigenous and other vulnerable populations.

* Professional fluency in Arabic and English required.
