Position Description/Summary: The purpose of the Female Empowerment/Mujeres Poderosas (FEMPOW) Activity is to empower women and girls by reducing GBV, positively transforming gender norms and attitudes, engaging the private sector to create economic opportunities for women, and supporting USAID programming in PDET municipalities.
Responsibilities:
Specialists will be subject matter experts in women’s empowerment issues who will lead the delivery of technical activities and deliverables that contribute to FEMPOW objectives. Tetra Tech seeks candidates specialized in the following areas:
· Monitoring and evaluation
· Research and analysis
· Behavior change and communications
· Education and training
· Gender and vulnerable populations
· Access to finance
· Workforce development
· Technology and innovation
· Gender-based violence
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will demonstrate effective management experience and proven experience managing complex programs in Colombia. Additionally, she/he should possess:
* Advanced degree in a related field of expertise required;
* A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field of interest. Demonstrated experience working in PDET areas in Colombia and advantage;
* Fluent Spanish required; English language skills are a plus;
* Colombian country nationals strongly encouraged to apply.
