Tetra Tech International Development Services headquartered in Arlington, VA is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Chief of Party/Project Manager position on a U.S. Department of State-funded project in Myanmar.
The purpose of this project is to strengthen democratic processes and human rights in Myanmar by supporting constitutional and legislative reform, working closely with local civil society actors to undertake research, analysis, and advocacy. This is a long-term position and the project will be based in Yangon. Myanmar nationals are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for strategic direction, planning, high-level technical supervision, and operational oversight of the project.
* Ensure activities are fully leveraged so that the project meets expected results.
* Coordinate technical assistance.
* Serve as project liaison to key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* University degree in law, political sciences, public/policy administration, international relations or similar; a law degree is an advantage.
* At least 8 years of experience with donor-funded programs focused on human rights, good governance, legal reform, and/or advocacy, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
* Spoken and written fluency in English required.
* Myanmar nationals strongly encouraged to apply.
