Database Manager - Land Reform Activity

 

Tetra Tech International Development Services is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Database Manager for an anticipated 4-year Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)-funded Land Reform to Accelerate Agricultural Productivity (LRAP) initiative in Togo. Position to be based in Togo.

 

The LRAP initiative comprises four main objectives: (i) expand access to formalized land by identifying and legitimizing customary land rights; (ii) move the legitimized rights into the formal system; (iii) improve the formal system so that it effectively protects all legitimate land rights; and (iv) expand inclusive access to land by ensuring that recognition of women’s rights, already recognized in formal law, are fully incorporated into practice.

 

Position Description/ Summary:

The Database Manager will have the responsibility for the management of data, providing information support systems for the project.

 

Responsibilities:

*Develops and maintains computer and audio-visual systems, including identifying computer and software needs; procurement, maintenance and upgrading of software · Develops and maintains network systems of operations;

*Provides support and training to staff on electronic equipment usage and computer and software problems;

*Designs and produces presentations (in Power Point and other audio-visual formats) specific to the needs of the project;

*Compiles, maintains, and manages electronic and digital project equipment, including check-in and check-out procedures and inventory · Develops and maintains project webpages;

*Organizes and maintains electronic reference center that includes information generated from the projects and from other sources of technical information.

 

Qualifications:

*Completion of secondary school education;

*Post-Secondary Training in computer science or equivalent practical work experience

*A minimum of four years of production and presentation experience, with significant responsibilities for electronic and digital systems maintenance, computer and software installation and management;

*Experience and proven track record in providing quality information management services for an international development organization;

*An expert knowledge of the following computer software programs: Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.

*French language fluency (oral and written) is required; proficiency in English is preferred;

*West African nationals and Togolese citizens are strongly encouraged to apply.
