Technical Specialists - Economic Recovery and Livelihoods Project (ERLP)

Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, VA is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Technical Specialist candidates for USAID/Yemen’s Economic Recovery and Livelihoods Project (ERLP). ERLP will assist Yemen in re-establishing key economic institutions, stabilizing the macroeconomy through improved monetary and fiscal policy, and facilitating international trade. ERLP will also work with private firms, smallholder farmers, and fisherfolk to increase their productivity and improve access to domestic and international markets in support of increased household income and employment.

 

Position Description/Summary: The positions are based in a number of locations in Yemen for a period of up to three years. Qualified candidates have relevant experience in Yemen with expertise in:

 

*Public financial management

*Fiscal and monetary policy

*Macroeconomic reform in conflict-affected areas

*International trade facilitation and regulatory reform

*Private sector development in conflict settings

*Smallholder and fisheries productivity and market access

*Workforce development and employment creation

*Women’s and youth economic empowerment and entrepreneurship

 

Qualifications:

* Masters’ Degree from accredited institution

* 5-15 years of experience contributing to successful development, early recover, and humanitarian livelihoods projects or industries in Yemen or the Middle East

* Fluency in English

* Fluency in Arabic highly desired

* Experience in Yemen or conflict environments highly desired

* Yemeni candidates, especially women and people with disabilities, are strongly encouraged to apply
