Energy Sector Experts - Philippines
Tetra Tech International Development Services headquartered in Arlington, VA is seeking candidates for a variety of energy sector experts based in the Philippines. The specialists will implement technical activities, coordinate closely with the client and local stakeholders, and work closely with the program management team based in Manila. The position may be part-time or full-time and is contingent upon contract award.
The successful candidates should have leadership and be mid- to senior-level technical experts as one or more of the following:

Energy policy specialists

Energy procurement systems

Energy resource diversification specialists

Finance and tariff specialists

IT platform/software development specialists

Legal and regulatory specialists

Market competition promotion (energy-specific)

Modern energy technology specialists (design, adoption, integration and scale-up)
-
Modern gas system specialists
-
Natural gas infrastructure specialists
-
Power engineers
-
Power sector planning specialists (policies and tools)
-
Private sector engagement specialists
-
Regional trade specialists (electricity, clean coal, and gas)
-
Renewable energy engineers
-
Transmission and distribution system operators
-
Utility improvement and transformation specialists
Essential KSA’s required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc.):
-
An undergraduate degree in engineering, physics or similar technical field.

A master’s degree in economics, energy, engineering, finance, management, policy, legal, and/or other related fields.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience supporting or leading energy sector projects, with demonstrable experience in the electricity sector.

Experience supporting USAID or other donor-funded energy projects in Southeast Asia.

Ability to build effective relationships with peers, supervisors, clients, and stakeholders.

Familiarity with the political, social and cultural context of working in Southeast Asia.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills) is required.
