Tetra Tech International Development Services, is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Resettlement Specialist position. Senior-level and Short-term contract assignment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparation and validation of Resettlement Policy Framework in Dili, Timor-Leste.
Qualifications:
*Advanced degree in social science or any related technical field.
*15+ years of relevant and progressively responsible experience in any corporation or organization.
*Must have commensurate experience with international guidelines related to involuntary resettlement (IFC Performance Standard 5 strongly preferred)
*Demonstrated experience in preparation and implementation of Resettlement Action Plans (RAP) Resettlement Policy Frameworks (RPF), and Livelihood Restoration Plans as well as demonstrated
*Experience with management of stakeholder engagement, resettlement and livelihood restoration activities at all stages of a project cycle – from conceptual stage to construction and closeout.
*Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
*Similar levels (15+ years) of demonstrated experience in the planning and preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments
*Implementation of associated Environmental and Social Management Plans is strongly preferred,
*Portuguese and/or Indonesian language skills are a plus.
