Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, VA, is seeking to hire a qualified Chief of Party to lead all technical and administrative aspects for the anticipated 5-year USAID-funded Recycle Jordan Activity. The Recycle Jordan activity will work with private recycling firms, the commercial sector, and the Government of Jordan to increase commercial sector utilization of recycling services in Amman. The activity aims to expand and improve private sector-led recycling services; generate greater demand for and utilization of recycling services within the Amman commercial sector; and increase local and national government support for solid waste management.
The Chief of Party’s responsibilities include providing overall programmatic leadership, including contractual performance and risk management, work planning and reporting, financial management, administration and personnel management, high-level client and counterpart dialogue, and communications for the project.
Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in a relevant field;
* Progressively senior experience in Solid Waste Management with municipalities, national governments and private sector;
* Understanding and familiarity with recycling services and systems;
* Leadership of institutional and regulatory strengthening programs;
* Experience guiding private sector development initiatives;
* Experience leading teams and managing budgets of at least $2M/year;
* Demonstrated high levels of professional integrity and attention to solid financial, human resources and procurement oversight;
* Experience in Jordan/ the Middle East highly desirable.
