Tetra Tech International Development Services headquartered in Arlington, VA is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for potential senior economic development expert positions on an anticipated USAID funded program in Azerbaijan. The goal of this Activity is to utilize a partnership and co-investment approach to support a more resilient Azerbaijan economy, beyond the oil sector, by improving the competitiveness of the private sector with a special focus on agriculture and reducing the administrative barriers that hinder the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises in Azerbaijan.

The objectives of this Activity are:

1.    More diversified non-oil economy through initiatives that assist small and medium sized agribusinesses and farmers to grow;

2.    Improved business environment for micro, small and medium businesses; and

3.    Support for Azerbaijan's economic reforms

These are anticipated to be full-time positions based in Baku, Azerbaijan for five years.

Qualifications:

* Advanced degree related to the solicited areas of specialization (above);

* Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experience;

* Demonstrated experience providing technical input and/or advisory services in designated area of specialization in Azerbaijan;

* Professional proficiency in Azerbaijani is required, proficiency in English is preferred, and proficiency in Turkish or Russian is a plus;
