Technical Specialists – Senegal Agriculture Value Chain Services

Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified local and regional candidates for a range of technical specialist positions needed to staff the USAID-funded program called Agriculture Value Chain Services in Senegal. The goal of the project is to establish and manage a flexible mechanism that will provide technical assistance, training, material, and other resources as needed to improve food security through strengthened agriculture production and market systems, increased private sector engagement, and rational management of natural resources.

Tetra Tech seeks candidates for the following positions:

* Senior Value Chain Specialist;

* Finance / Investment Specialist – Private Sector Expert;

* Market Access and Linkages Specialist;

* Post-harvest Systems Specialist;

* Agricultural Policy Specialist;

* Operations Manager;

* Communications and Outreach Specialist;

* Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist; and

* GIS Specialist.

Qualifications:

* A Master's degree in a related field of expertise preferred (for senior technical and administrative positions), or at least seven (7) years of technically relevant experience;

* A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field/position of interest;

* Prior experience working on agricultural production or value chain development projects funded by USAID or by other major donors, with at least five (5) years of experience preferred;

* Professional, relevant experience in Senegal or the region highly preferred;

* French and local (Senegalese) language skills preferred; and

* Private sector agribusiness experience (management, production, etc.) highly desirable.
