Operations Manager

Tetra Tech ARD, a US-based international development firm, is seeking a qualified Operations Manager candidates for the upcoming USAID-funded India Partnership for Land Use Science (Forest PLUS II). The activity focuses on technical cooperation between the Government of India and the United States to build capacity to manage forest landscapes in India for improved delivery of ecosystem services and inclusive sustainable economic opportunities. The primary agency for cooperation is the Indian Forest Service. Secondary direct beneficiaries will be citizens of communities near to forested areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the operations, finance and administrative staff.
  • Coordinating with subcontracted chartered accountants to ensure compliance with corporate tax law and registration in India.
  • Overseeing creation and delivery of all required project financial, administrative, compliance and grants, procurement and subcontracts documentation for the execution of the project.
  • Ensuring full compliance with USAID, Government of India, and Tetra Tech financial, legal and personnel regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred;
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience in international development finance and operations management;
  • Prior experience on projects of similar complexity, with an excellent understanding and knowledge of USAID and USG regulations, administration, management, reporting procedures and systems;
  • Excellent English language reporting, writing, and presentation skills required;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, conflict management skills, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues.
