CHIEF OF PARTY, Afghanistan - Promote Women's Leadership Development (Promote WLD)

Tetra Tech, is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified administrative and technical candidates for a USAID Funded project in Afghanistan. The qualified candidate will support the delivery of a gender focused project whose aim is to provide 25,000 women with leadership training to give them the skills necessary not only to perform in their jobs, but also to rise to meaningful leadership positions in their careers.

Responsibilities Include:

Providing overall management of the project, including liaising and coordinating with USAID and Tetra Tech’s home office;

Ensuring quality oversight of all services and products provided by the project, including those from long-term and short-term staff and subcontractors; and

Coordinating and assuming the role of official spokesperson of project activities with senior Mission, Embassy, Congressional delegations/other VIPs and GIRoA officials.

Desired Qualifications:

*A Master's degree in a related field of expertise preferred;

*A minimum of 10 years of work experience in international development programming;

*Demonstrated management experience including prior experience working on gender development projects funded by USAID or by other major donors;

*Experience liasing with high level Afghanistan Officials

*Extensive experience monitoring and evaluating development assistance and economic growth programs in complex, culturally diverse settings;

*Excellent English language reporting, writing, and presentation skills required;

*Knowledge of relevant federal regulations and procedures as well as work experience in post-conflict countries required;

*Previous experience as a COP is highly desirable; and

*Fluency in English is required.
