Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont is accepting applications for a qualified Travel Specialist opportunity at our company headquarters. The Travel Specialist works within all stages of the global travel process for home office and field staff, and reports to the Travel Coordinator. The Travel Specialist is expected to display outstanding interpersonal skills and a willingness to backstop the Coordinator as needed.
The position is based in Burlington, Vermont.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate all contacts and arrangements with Tetra Tech ARD’s external travel agent;
* Handle all airline ticket purchases and re-ticketing for staff and consultants in accordance with the firm’s internal procedures, and obtain necessary approvals prior to ticketing;
* Prepare and handle arrangements for the processing of visa applications for all of Tetra Tech ARD’s full-time staff and consultants, and assist staff with passport applications;
* Ensure all overseas travelers receive pre-travel medevac insurance information and briefing information according to established Duty of Care standards;
* Prepare and handle arrangements for the processing of visa applications for all of Tetra Tech ARD’s full-time staff and consultants, and assist staff with passport applications;
* Make hotel, rental car and other necessary travel arrangements;
* Assist with any other required pre-trip planning or preparations (hotel, ground transportation, etc.); and
* Complementary tasks as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Qualifications:
* Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred) in a related field;
* Minimum of three (3) years of customer service or direct client support experience strongly preferred;
* High level of proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other web and mobile travel applications;
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, with high attention to detail;
* High level degree of reliability and follow-through;
* Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple deadlines and deliverables with poise and professionalism, including some evenings and weekends in emergency situations;
* Energetic, positive and enthusiastic collaborative team player;
* Speaking and reading proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic helpful; and
* U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is an absolute requirement.
