Tetra Tech GLS, headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts (http:www.tetratechintdev.com/) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Quantity Surveyor/Cost Estimator position on a proposed program in Afghanistan. The anticipated duration of this project is four (4) months.
The Quantity Surveyor/Cost Estimator will assist in reviewing designs for existing vertical structures and providing guidance, recommendations, and written plans/reports for local ministry.
Responsibilities:
* Review existing cost estimation system and suggest amendments;
* Prepare technical specifications for construction;
* Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) documents corresponding to the items in the cost estimation system;
* Prepare cost estimates for the low-cost design options.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, construction, or a related field;
* Minimum twenty (20) plus years of relevant experience;
* Must be willing to relocate to Afghanistan for four (4) months.
