Deputy Chief of Party, Southern Africa Resilient Waters Project

Tetra Tech, is seeking a qualified Deputy Chief of Party to support all technical and administrative components of an anticipated $50-100 million USAID-funded transboundary waters project in Southern Africa. The purpose of this five-year project is to improve transboundary management and decision making for water, biodiversity and associated natural resources in the Okavango and Limpopo river basins. Working at river basin, catchment, bilateral and multilateral levels, the Resilient Waters Project will build the resilience of communities and ecosystems to adapt to a changing environment and climate.

 

Qualifications:

*Master’s Degree in natural or administrative science, environmental management or a related field

* At least seven years of experience leading development projects.

*Technical expertise in water and natural resource management, biodiversity, climate change adaptation, public-private partnerships and/or community resilience.

*A demonstrated track record of progressively responsible managerial experience implementing donor projects with similar complexity, USAID project experience preferred.

*Proven leadership, organizational and writing skills.

*Extensive experience with monitoring and evaluation of donor-funded projects.

*Experience working in Southern Africa.

*Fluent in English
