MONITORING AND EVALUATION INTERNSHIP

Tetra Tech ARD, based in Burlington, Vermont (http://tetratechintdev.com) is accepting applications for a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Intern to support the M&E Unit. The M&E Intern will support efforts to ensure Tetra Tech is developing, implementing and maintaining high quality performance monitoring and evaluation systems. Candidates should have educational backgrounds and skills that are foundational to M&E methodologies, with the willingness to better understand the application and utility of M&E.

This paid autumn position is 30-40 hours per week, and based in Burlington, Vermont.

 

Responsibilities

* Help the M&E unit strengthen field-based M&E community through innovative ideas to get more cross-learning and collaboration between projects;

* Help develop and improve existing M&E systems around New Business Development and Project Implementation;

* Develop communications and marketing materials (short films, institutional indicator infographics, Twitter Feeds, Web Maps) for communicating M&E outcomes and results in collaboration with the Communications team;

* Draft ePORT and overall M&E marketing material to yield customized and available content to respond to the M&E Indefinite Deliverable/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract;

* Conduct research on different M&E frameworks, approaches, etc. used by World Bank, UN, Gates Foundation, etc. and collaborate with the M&E unit to explore better integration and adoption of other frameworks into our work;

* Conduct research of ITC M&E tools used by industry leaders as well as their efficacy in the field; and

* Assume other complementary and necessary duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications

* Recently completed or pursuing a Bachelors or Master's degree in a field related to one of the firm's practice areas or a relevant social science, with at least half of required credits in area of concentration earned at time of internship;

* Minimum of intermediate speaking and reading proficiency in Spanish or French;

* Must be an energetic and enthusiastic team player;

* Must possess effective time management skills and the ability to multitask;

* Must be a self-starter and able to take direction and complete tasks based on that direction;

* Strong interpersonal and intercultural communications skills; and

* High level proficiency in MS Office applications.
