Tetra Tech ARD, based in Burlington, Vermont is accepting applications for an International Recruitment Intern. The Intern would gain exposure to all of Tetra Tech’s sectors to deepen their understanding of international development ,providing specialized knowledge on best practices of international staffing policies and procedures at all stages of the business cycle. We have a strong reputation among consultants and staff for providing a personal touch to our outreach and recruitment efforts and building relationships that last beyond a particular proposal or project.

The Intern will support a strategy to pursue and position for a number of strategic initiatives that will contribute to the technical reputation and business success of the firm.  The work plan for each sector initiative will articulate its specific recruitment needs, translate those to specific, measurable and attainable tasks, and create a timeline for their accomplishment. As is true for all members of Tetra Tech staff, the individual in this role is expected to display exemplary interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, have a dedication to sustainable international development, and have a willingness to assist other team members when required. This paid summer position is 30-40 hours per week, and based in Burlington, Vermont.

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with the Director of International Consultant Services (ICS) and sectors to identify all technical skill areas necessary to position ourselves for our initiatives;

* Leverage social media to expand our talent pools and develop strategies for attracting consultants to build available talent for initiatives worldwide;

* Conduct market research to identify top talent in the field;

* Employ networking strategies to create a personal connection between high-caliber consultant talent and Tetra Tech;

* Meet with Director to regularly report progress, discuss challenges, and set priorities; and

* Support proposal development and project implementation recruitment tasks when needed through reference checking, preparation of job descriptions, drafting personnel matrices and qualifications, advertising copy, marketing materials and improving recruitment related templates, manuals, and training materials.

Qualifications

* Recently completed or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, International Development, or a related field to one of the firm’s practice areas;

* Excellent telephone communication skills (previous experience conducting recruitment, market research, or sales calls highly desirable);

* International development interest and experience strongly preferred;

* Outstanding social media skills and strategies, especially in professional applications;

* Excellent information management skills, with very strong attention to detail and understanding of requirements;

* Ability to organize own work and perform independently while closely and appropriately coordinating with team members;

* Excellent writing and synthesizing skills;

* Strong proficiency in a second language (French or Spanish preferred);

* High level proficiency in MS Office applications and database management;

* Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and sometimes intense work environment;

* Outstanding multitasking and organizational capabilities;

* Must be an energetic, enthusiastic, and positive collaborative team player; and

* U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is an absolute requirement.
