PROGRAM MANAGER, PROLAND

Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont is accepting expressions of interest from qualified Program Manager candidates for a position based in our Arlington, Virginia office. This individual will support the implementation of the USAID REPLACE IDIQ Task Order Productive Landscapes (ProLand). The ProLand Project is five years in duration. The successful candidate will provide operations support to the technical staff, who are focused on assembling evidence and building tools for systems approaches to sustainable natural resource management. This is a great opportunity for a talented individual to work to support natural resource management in developing countries worldwide.

 

The Program Manager is a critical member of the ProLand team, and will work under the supervision of the Project’s Deputy Chief of Party.

 

Responsibilities

* Responsible for day-to-day management of the Program Office;

* Establish and maintain effective office information management systems including files, hardware, software, and technical support;

* Management of procurement related tasks (and associated liaison with home office procurement staff), including petty cash, office inventory, managing receipts and deliveries, submitting purchase reports, and generating quotes for procurement of large goods and services;

* Support the development and revision of reports, issues briefs, training materials and other resources. Adapting these, as necessary, for different target audiences in collaboration with core technical staff;

* Conduct literature reviews and undertaking coding of qualitative and quantitative data for meta-analyses;

* Conduct research towards the development of concepts notes and Scopes of Work (SOW) for upcoming activities, in coordination with task leads and to advance cross-cutting integration;

* Liaise with in-country focal points on ongoing and emerging activities in coordination with task leads, USAID or the Chief of Party;

* Assist with the management and oversight of project deliverables;

* Assist with the organization and management of annual work planning with project partners, annual work plan preparation, and quarterly reports; and

* Assist with regular technical, progress and financial reporting and due diligence.

 

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Agriculture, or a natural-resources related field;

* Experience with Monitoring and Evaluation procedures;

* Experience working on USAID-funded projects;

* French, Spanish, or Bahasa proficiency preferred;

* At least 1 year of research experience in a professional or academic environment preferred;

* Experience working in a developing country preferred;

* High level proficiency in MS Office applications;

* Must possess effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task;

* Strong interpersonal communication skills;

* Must be an energetic and enthusiastic team player; and

* U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is mandatory.
