MATERIALS / SOILS ENGINEER, SOUTH SUDAN

Tetra Tech is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Materials/Soils Engineer candidates for a USAID-funded project in South Sudan. The project will provide engineering designs of rural roads, quality assurance of construction standards, and capacity building in road maintenance. The candidate will be based in Juba, South Sudan.

 

Responsibilities:

The Materials/Soils Engineer will be responsible for conducting and supervising materials survey and investigations, reviewing information on soils and subgrade properties to be used in the rehabilitation and maintenance of roads.

 

Qualifications:

*Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or a related field;

*Be a registered or Chartered Professional Engineer (PE);

*Have at least 8 years of experience in pavement design, materials testing and investigations;

*Demonstrated experience working on donor-funded projects; experience on USAID-funded projects preferred;

*Demonstrated experience with earth and gravel roads construction strategies in developing countries; and

*Fluency in written and spoken English required.
