Tetra Tech is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Chief of Party (COP) / Team Leader candidates for a USAID-funded project in South Sudan. The project will provide engineering designs of rural roads, quality assurance of construction standards, and capacity building in road maintenance. The candidate will be based in Juba, South Sudan.

Responsibilities:

The COP will be responsible for managing the design team and will be the primary contact between the contractor and USAID and/or South Sudan beneficiary representatives from the Central or State government. The COP will also be responsible for the geometric designs of roads, hydraulic and structural designs of the drainage systems, and preparation of bidding documents. The position will require some traveling throughout South Sudan.

Qualifications:

*Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field;

*Have at least 15 years of experience in road design and construction;

*Demonstrated experience as a Chief of Party / Team Leader on donor-funded projects; experience on USAID-funded projects preferred;

*Demonstrated experience in supervising design teams working on feasibility studies and detailed road design;

*Have professional experience in developing countries required; professional experience in Africa preferred;

*Fluency in written and spoken English required; and

*Be a registered Professional Engineer (PE).
