CHIEF OF PARTY

Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont is accepting expressions of interest from qualified  Chief of Party candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)  project, based in Jakarta, Indonesia with travel throughout the ASEAN region. The anticipated project will support and enhance the ASEAN's capacity to advance good governance and regional security, and promote equitable and sustainable human development in the region.

 

Responsibilities:

The COP will be responsible for leading all technical, financial and administrative aspects of the program and will coordinate closely with USAID in developing, implementing, and revising the project’s overall field strategy. The COP will be the principal link between USAID, Tetra Tech, and other partners and provide strategic and comprehensive technical oversight and guidance in all aspects of the program.

 

Qualifications:

*Advanced degree or higher in political science, international relations, international development, human rights, organizational development or related field required;

*Excellent diplomatic skills and ability to work with high-level government officials and policymakers, and regional secretariats;

*Technical experiences in areas including governance, rule of law, security, economic cooperation, socio-cultural cooperation; and/or the promotion of human rights;

*Experience working in the ASEAN countries of Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and/or Vietnam;

*Demonstrated manager with proven skills managing dynamic technical teams of international and national staff and consultants;

*Experienced with USAID contract administration and grants under contract (GUC); and

*Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.

*Fluency in English required.
