Deputy Chief of Party, Access to Justice Project

Tetra Tech DPK seeks a Deputy Chief of Party candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Access to Justice project in Rwanda. This project is expected to enhance the delivery of justice to Rwandan citizens. The activity will improve judicial effectiveness by strengthening judicial independence and capacity to advance rule of law, while promoting community-level dispute resolution and public awareness and understanding of the legal system.

 

The DCOP will provide technical leadership to the project and fulfill the responsibilities of the Chief of Party in his/her absence. Applicants should be Rwandan nationals or other nationals with experience in Rwanda.

 

Qualifications:

*A university degree (bachelors or higher) in any of the following fields: law, public administration, management, or related fields; master’s degree preferred.

*At least 5 years professional in access to justice or community justice related development programs at a senior program management level, including direct supervision of professional and support staff.

*Demonstrated experience with organizational development and capacity building of local partners, including experience managing and implementing partner activities.

*Proven leadership in the design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of similar-sized donor-supported programs.

*Skills in high level strategic visioning and leadership, preferably with experience in managing complex activities involving coordination with multiple partner institutions.

*Strong communication skills, including interpersonal and in written and oral English.

*Prior experience with USAID or other donor-funded projects preferred.

*Proficiency in English, French, or Kinyarwanda.
