Tetra Tech ARD, is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates to join our roster of experts for short term consulting assignments supporting the development of insurance and risk financing projects for clients.
Position Description/Summary: An increasing number of international development organizations, private sector actors and governments around the world are developing innovative insurance and risk financing solutions to address challenging development problems. Tetra Tech is expanding our roster of mid-career and senior short term technical experts to support a growing demand for support to these projects in the following areas:
* Agricultural index insurance
* Livestock index insurance
* Insurance product feasibility assessment and design
* Integrated risk management program design incorporating appropriate insurance and risk financing tools
* Strategic planning for scaling up integrated risk management, finance and insurance systems
* Linking social protection and insurance tools
* Insurance index design, testing and evaluation
* Data analysis (weather, crop, etc.) for insurance design and evaluation
* Market and demand analysis for insurance and risk financing products
* Insurance policy and regulatory analysis, reform, and design
* Insurance marketing, consumer education, and consumer protection
* Capacity development of local and regional insurance companies and actors
* Community-based approaches to risk financing and insurance design and implementation
* Development of product distribution and administration systems
* Climate risk insurance policy and project development
* Risk modeling and mapping
* Forecast-based financing
* Humanitarian insurance applications
