Researcher FDA Office of Pharmaceutical Research

PRO-Telligent, A Tetra Tech Company, is seeking an experienced Researcher FDA, Office of Pharmaceutical Research for our New Delhi, India Office.

 

The mission of the Office of Pharmaceutical Quality is to assure that quality medicines are available to the American public. To better accomplish that mission the agency must understand the supply chain for pharmaceuticals and how to deploy and evaluate rapid testing instrumentation and methods. The Division of Pharmaceutical Analysis (DPA) is deploying spectroscopic instruments in collaboration with the India (New Delhi) office of the US FDA. The India office will need a researcher to develop, assess and deploy these methods. The researcher will also be responsible for obtaining samples from within the country through the India Office or through the commercial marketplace. The researcher will also be responsible for training staff and providing scientific input when needed to support the India Office’s mission. This project will fund a researcher to be located at the US FDA India office to work with DPA on deploying and evaluating rapid testing methods. The researcher will need to travel around India to perform some of the duties.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:

·         Willing to relocate with minimal administrative procedures

·         Minimum of 5 – 7 years of related experience

·         Master’s in Public Health or equivalent required

·         Independent researcher with experience in chemistry particularly analytical chemistry and spectroscopy (At least 2 years)

·         Strong record of oral and written communication as evidenced by presentations and peer-reviewed publications

·         Strong leadership qualities and experience working as part of collaborative groups

·         Experience in data management, processing and analysis

·         Strong record of oral and written communication as evidenced by presentations and peer-reviewed publications

·         Ability to independently plan, develop and evaluate written plans

 

Activities include:

·         Work with DPA to develop methods for hand held spectroscopic instrumentation.

·         Deploy methods developed at DPA for these instruments.

·         Survey the quality of drugs and drug ingredients in India to help assess the quality of the supply chain.

·         Build spectroscopic libraries using India sourced materials.

·         Train FDA inspectors, Indian regulatory personnel and industry personnel on the value and capabilities of rapid testing methods
