Indonesia PMaP - Team Leader

Tetra Tech is seeking to hire a qualified Team Leader for an upcoming program in Indonesia. The Millennium Challenge Corporation (“MCC”) and the Government of Indonesia (the “Government”) have entered into a Millennium Challenge Compact for Millennium Challenge Account – Indonesia (MCA Indonesia) assistance to help facilitate poverty reduction through economic growth in the Republic of Indonesia. A portion of this funding has been allocated to assist MCA-Indonesia in implementing the Green Prosperity Project (GP Project). The program objectives of the GP Project will be achieved through the implementation of, among other things, investment in administrative boundary setting, updating and integration of land use inventories and enhancing spatial plans at the district and provincial levels (“Participatory Land Use Planning” (PLUP)). A sub-activity under PLUP is the Participatory Mapping and Planning (PMaP) Sub-Activity.

 

Responsibilities:

* Overall planning, monitoring, and completion of the full consultancy;

* Direct supervision and management of all Key Personnel;

* Preparation of reports and presentations; and

* Lead liaison with MCA-Indonesia and national and local government representatives

 

Minimum Qualifications:

* Masters level academic degree.

* Ten years of professional experience in land-related development projects, including experience on international funded projects and/or projects using international standards;

* Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and interact with high-level government officials effectively;

* Previous experience as Team Leader with at least 1 assignment as Team Leader on a GIS/spatial planning development project;

* Fluency in English.

 

Desirable Qualifications

*Previous work experience in Indonesia is strongly recommended, as well as strong knowledge of rural land issues in Indonesia;

* Bachelor degree in land use planning, economics, geography, or natural resource management;

*Demonstrated technical understanding of natural resource management, land use, and rural community development;

*Fluency in Indonesia language.
