Rural Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Technical Experts –USAID Zambia Kusintha program

Tetra Tech, is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for potential technical roles on an anticipated six-year USAID-funded program in Zambia. Tetra Tech ARD has a long history of working in Zambia. We are looking for technical leaders, strong managers, and creative thinkers who work well with public and private sector partners, and who have a passion for and a commitment to increasing sustainable access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services within the context of a larger multi-sectoral effort aimed at reducing stunting in rural areas.

Areas of Specialization Sought:

·Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS)

·WASH in Schools

·Construction of small-scale infrastructure (boreholes, institutional latrines, etc.)

·Working with local WASH system actors (D-WASHE, private sector actors, local government officials from multiple ministries, etc.)

·Expertise mobilizing and supporting management structures for WASH services at the household, community and institutional levels

·Behavior Change Communication related to environmental health

·Sanitation Marketing 

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; Master’s Degree preferred;

·Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in area of technical expertise;

·Experience working on international donor funded technical assistance programs required; USAID experience preferred;

·Professional experience in Zambia is required;

·Excellent planning, management and organizational skills; demonstrated capacity to quickly assess priorities and opportunities and manage a variety of activities with sufficient attention to detail;

·Strong leadership, management, supervisory and analytical skills;

·Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team;

.Fluency in English is required; excellent presentation and writing skills in English;

·Qualified Zambian nationals are particularly encouraged to apply.
