Water Sector Specialist – Doha, Qatar

Tetra Tech is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Water Sector Specialist candidates for an anticipated project and to assist in developing new business in Doha, Qatar.

 

Responsibilities:

* Serve as Project Manager for work to develop an overall water policy and strategy for the State of Qatar;

* Provide overall leadership and coordination of subject matter experts in the evaluation, analysis and development of recommendations for the State;

* Conduct meetings and workshops as needed to execute the project requirements;

* Prepare reports and other documents in the conduct of the work;

* Interface with clients and manage projects to meet client requirements and expectations;

* Provide QA oversight of the project team and coordinate with the client and subcontractors;

* Coordinate reach back engineering and support tasks with the US home office support staff as needed.

* Arrange and attend meetings with prospective clients individually or as part of the Business Development team;

* Prospecting for clients, developing leads and making daily cold calls;

* Maintain a database of current and prospective client information;

* Respond to ongoing needs of current or prospective clients, availability to meet with them according to their schedules;

* Represent Tetra Tech at client events and attend networking events and conferences on a regular basis;

* Prepare statements of qualifications, project proposals and coordinate multi-person teams in the preparation of proposals;

* Assist with the start-up and execution of projects for clients.

 

Qualifications:

* Excellent interpersonal skills and outgoing personality;

* Ability to meet and interact with clients at all levels;

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills;

* Proficient use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel and Word);

* High initiative, self-motivated and organized;

* Ability to work individually and as part of a team;

* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required and an advanced degree is preferred;

* A minimum of 15 years of previous experience with developing national water resources policy and strategy development, preferably in regions of water scarcity;

* Experience in water system design and construction is desirable;

* Knowledge of applicable local codes and standards;

* Strong leadership skills is a must along with the ability to conduct meetings and workshops with community stakeholders;

* Previous Middle East experience is desired.
